Alumni

Caroline Kirrane from Trinity Business School returns for the next edition of this practical workshop giving participants an introduction to basic finance and accounting principles while demystifying financial concepts for leaders who don't have an accountancy training or a financial background.

If you would like to have a better grasp of your numbers and be able to ask the right questions while contributing confidently to financial discussions and decision making, this is the learning opportunity for you.

This workshop will include the following elements in an interactive way:

  • Read and interpret a set of financial statements
  • Spot issues with your business operations and solve them
  • Understand your working capital cycle and manage it better
  • Understand your operating leverage, cost base and price for profit
  • Use best practices to get the most out of your budgeting process
  • Value your business and optimise it for valuation

There will also be an opportunity to bring along samples of your own financial statements to make it a 'hands on' experience with practical insights.
